Today, Dell offers printers of all types, including ink-based photo printers (which also take Dell inkjet cartridges). Typically, these printers were inkjet printers, which were perfect for home use. This led to the company becoming a force in the printer industry (after all, many people's "first" computer was a Dell, so they also needed the monitor and printer). And Dell was one of the first companies to offer "bundling" – meaning you buy a computer, and the company adds the monitor and printer, all for one price. Started in Michael Dell's college dorm room during the 1980's, Dell rose quickly to become the third-largest computer manufacturer in the world. When most people think of Dell, they think of computers and funny TV commercials with the catchphrase "duuude, you got a Dell!" However, considering the size and scope of the company, it's not surprising to realize they offer printers of all types (and, of course, Dell ink cartridges to go with them.)
